AIG New Zealand has been named a finalist in two categories in the ANZIIF New Zealand Insurance Industry Awards 2021 – General Insurance Company of the Year and Insurance Learning Program of the Year.
The General Insurance Company of the Year category is new for 2021, combining two categories separately recognising direct and intermediated insurers in previous years. This new category recognises general insurance companies that have demonstrated strong performance and outstanding service for their customers in New Zealand.
“We know that our team is not alone in their hard work, passion, and dedication to support customers when they need us most,” says Toni Ferrier, CEO of AIG New Zealand. “We’re delighted to be recognised as a finalist when so many in the industry have risen to the challenges of the last 18 months.”
The category of Insurance Learning Program of the Year recognises organisations that have shown true commitment to improving the professionalism of their people through the development and implementation of a learning program. AIG is shortlisted for this award for their Financial Lines University, an integrated technical training curriculum that supports underwriters of all levels of experience to achieve their career goals.
“AIG is known and respected in the New Zealand market for the technical training our underwriters receive,” says Stephanie Garraway, Head of Financial Lines & Casualty, New Zealand. “This program takes this another step forward and helps us in our goal to become an employer of choice.”
Winners of the ninth ANZIIF New Zealand Insurance Industry Awards will be announced on Wednesday 17 November.
